Flevoplant offers a nice variety of plant types
Short day varieties are available in the sizes A++, A+, A and A-.
A++ and A+ plants have the potential to realize sufficient production in the planting year. A and A- sorting are suitable for normal cultivation where production is realized in the first year after planting.
Everbearing varieties are available in the sizes A+, A and A-. These plants are suitable for 1 year cultivation. A+ and A plants are suitable for substrate and full soil cultivations. A- plants are suitable for full soil cultivation and potting.
The plants are being harvested and processed in the beginning of December, before being cooled down and stored at -1.5°C. Our plants are derived from SE-1, SE-2 and EE-parent material. The extradite often starts in early March to late July. B plants are made to order.
We produce fresh cuttings of everbearer varieties and short day varieties. The everbearer varieties are cultivated in a greenhouse and are available from the end of July.
The short day varieties are cultivated on cutting fields and are available from the beginning of July. These cuttings are used to make tray-minitray-plants. We use two size grades to deliver the most uniform plants possible.
Tray plants and mini tray plants we both make in short day varieties as well as everbearing varieties.
Short day tray- and mini tray plants are made into cuttings from the end of June. Everbearers are made into cuttings as of the end of July to create a good production potential for our customers.
Both short day and everbearing tray- and mini tray plants are being used in greenhouse cultivation, tunnel cultivation on substrate and racking. These plants are known for their high quality fruit.
Plug plants are made from fresh cutting material. We deliver short day and everbearing varieties.
Short day varieties are made into cuttings in the beginning of July and are available from the end of July. These plug plants are a good alternative for fresh plants.
Everbearing cuttings are made into cuttings in the end of July, what makes the plugs available from the beginning of September. These plugs can be frozen, what makes these plants suitable for substrate cultivation.
Fresh plants are available from the end of July. We strive to deliver these plants within 24 hours after harvest. These plants are often used in traditional cultivation. It is important to take good care of these plants after planting, so that these plants can make sufficient flower racemes for the coming production year.
Our waiting bed plants are made from fresh plants. To have sufficient potential these plants are being planted at the end of July on waiting beds.
The harvest starts from December and is available from January. The waiting bed plants are very well suitable for an 1-year cultivation on racking and in full soil. These plants are available in the following sizes:
WB Heavy > 22 mm
WB Medium 18-22 mm
WB Light 14-18 mm
